The TEAM T1 program and website is administered by Diabetes Australia – Vic.
When you look at the TEAM T1 website, our Internet Service Provider makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes:
• your server address
• your top level domain name (for example .com, .gov, .au, .uk etc)
• the pages you accessed and documents downloaded
• the previous site you have visited
• the type of browser you are using
Access to information collected
TEAM T1 may attempt to identify users or their browsing activities in order to improve the useability of the site, and to check for misuse (for example attempts to guess username and passwords). In the unlikely event of an investigation, a law enforcement agency or other government agency may exercise its legal authority to inspect our Internet Service Provider's and database logs.
Use and disclosure of information collected
We will only record your email address if you send us a message or register as a database user. Your email address will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and it will not be added to a mailing list or used or disclosed to any other organisation or person without your consent. We may send you information related to the business of TEAM T1 at the email address you provide us.
The internet is inherently insecure and accordingly, we cannot provide any definite assurance regarding security or personal information. DA–Vic will not be liable in any way in relation to any breach of security or any unintended loss or disclosure of that information.
Sometimes we need to store temporary information, which can personalise a website visit, using 'cookies'. Cookies are simply an alternative for storing information used by webpage scripts in a computer's browser rather than on a computer server. Cookies cannot gather any more information about an individual than what is already publicly available when the web is surfed or what an individual offers in a web form.

Information about TEAM T1 Participants
Queries or complaints about TEAM T1 information held by Diabetes Australia – Vic should be directed to the TEAM T1 Project Manager or the relevant Human Research Ethics Committee. Complaints may be investigated by the Privacy Commissioner.
